Apparently, the Trump administration has dun figured that figurin out how to do they jobs an keep Mericans safe IS JUST TOO DURNED HARD. Instead, they are pinnin their hopes on a combination of Herd Immunity an some scientists figurin out a future vaccine!

Likely Case: 25+ million folk hospitalized and 11+ million Mericans DEAD!
Wurst Case: Ah hope we never see any kind of herd immunity (plan), much less how bad thangs’ll get if we have a wurst case!

Vaccine

Vaccines’ll take at least a year (probably 18-24 months) befur nuff doses’ll be made an nuff Mericans can be vaccinated to control COVID-19.

Whether thru herd immunity or vaccines, we’all’re needin to get a MINIMUM of 60% (~200 MILLION) of Mericans (at least temporarily) “immune” to COVID-19 to stop it. Maybe up to 80% (~265 MILLION). And it is lookin like everone getting the vaccine will need two doses (200 million X 2 = 400++ MILLION DOSES!).

Of course, all that ASSUMES we’all won’t need to git immunized ever year or so like wit the seasonal flu!

The STOOPID Part…

Oh, yeah, let’s git back to the STOOPID part of this. The Trump administration/campaign figures its a gud idea to float this har “plan” just over a week befur Lection Day!

It’s like sayin, “Hey everone! Come vote fur me cause ah’m too durned lazy an busy playin President an havin campaign rallys an golf an such to actually be bothered wit helpin y’all stay alive durin this COVID-19 pandemic. Ah mean if tens of thousands, even millions, of Mericans have to die between now an then, that’s ok so long’s ah git re-lected!”

An don’t furget that even though thar’s a study showin that if 80+% of Mericans jus wore masks, COVID-19 cases/deaths could be reduced by up to 80%. REDUCED BY UP TO 80%!

Yep, sounds like a gud idea to me! Sign me up fur the Trump “Root, Hog, AND Die” plan. In other wurds, “Good luck! Hope you don’t die. (Well, we don’t really care!)”.
