It’s bin awhile since ah last did an update bout the Ranty Nation Foldin at Home team.  We’all’ve come a long way since the last update, jus befur Lection Day, 2020.

Why Folding at Home?

Now ah’m gonna point out why ah’m a big fan of the Foldin at Home project.  Y’see, they’s factually the largest super-compooter in the whole wide world!  And they’s put all that compootin power into healthcare related research.

Right now, the vast majority of stuff y’all’s EXTRA compooter cycles’ll go toward doin COVID-19 research.  But y’all can also donate to other health issues like various types of cancer, other viruses, an even neurological (meanin brain) problems such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc.  Click the link above fur “other health issues” so as y’all can find out more bout whut they’s wurkin on!

How’s the Ranty Nation Team Doin Now?

Anyhoo, way back then, when we wuz furst gittin started (in bout 255,000 place) we weren’t lightin the world afire or anythin, but were climbin quick-like.  We’all’re still climbin, but, to be honest, the rate of climbin is slowin.  An that’s probly cuz the team only has two members (myself an one other person) doin the Foldin.

Even wit jus two of us, we’all have broken the top 3000 Foldin at Home teams, worldwide!  They’s over 250,000 teams an ours dun made it to the top 3000 teams!  That’s an improvement of over 250,000 places!  An the team looks like it’ll break into the top 2000 teams in the month of April (we’all currently be in 2071st place) at the rate we’all’re Foldin!

Ah’m hopin y’all can join us in Foldin at Home cuz it’s fur a really gud cause.  Ah’ve written a “tutorial” bout how to git signed up fur Foldin at Home on y’all’s computer an how to join the Ranty Nation Foldin at Home Team.  Even if’n y’all don’t want to join the Team, ah’m hopin y’all’ll decide to go ahead an do sum Foldin fur yur own reasons.

Y’all don’t even haveta join a team, yur Foldin credits’ll go to the “Anonymous Team” group.  But ah’m hopin y’all’ll join the Ranty Nation team.
