Ah really wish ah cudn’t write this post!  As of yesterday COVID-19 dun taken >500,000 folk frum us har in the gud ol USofA.  An in jus over a year since the furst COVID-19 death in Washington state back in February, 2020.  This has bin a “Dark Winter”, indeed.  We dun had bout 200,000 deaths since the furst of the year.  — Tracking Covid-19 cases in the US – CNN

If thar be a silver linin to this whole story, it’s that the federal guvmint FINALLY dun got it’s act together an they’s gittin folk vaccinated faster’n a one-legged tap dancer.  They’s got bout 150 million doses of vaccine distributed, with bout nuther 200 million doses to come by the end of April.  By that time, most folk shud qualify fur gittin the vaccine.  Not just the elderly, healthcare wurkers, those wit “co-morbidities”, etc who can (an shud) git em now.

Ah’m not gonna beat a dead horse wit this talk an splain how this was the former President’s fault.  Rather, ah’m gonna focus on whut we need to do to git outta this mess.

As y’all know, ah’ve bin a long time fan of wearin masks.  Ah hope y’all will follow the 4Ws an:

1. Wear yur mask
2. Watch yur distance
3. Wash yur hands
4. Wipe yur surfaces

Wit vaccines an the 4Ws, we can beat this COVID-19 an put it in the dustbin of history. Ah hope y’all’ll join me an we can git back to the new “normal” by this summer!
