Ah saw on the news the other day that the EU had more new cases of COVID-19 than we did har in the US for the furst time in months! Ah remembered this har YouTube video and thunk ah’d rant on how Pres Trump dun made a mess of how he handled the whole COVID-19 pandemic.
Anyhoo, jus a “quick” FYI for perspective (shucks, if’n ah really did a QUICK UN, it’d hardly be a RANT!).
The EU has bout 445,000,000 folk. An they have a total of ~195,000 deaths from COVID-19 an thar rate has bin droppin over the last few months AN is way lower than ours (about 1/4 at this time). We har in the US have bout 330,000,000 folk. We’ve dun got a total of ~212,000 deaths from COVID-19 an our mortality rate is a risin AN is much higher than the EU’s. If you do the mathimacation, the EU’s population’s bout 135% (1.35 times) bigger’n the US population. If’n we adjust the number of US deaths by the differnce in population (i.e. figure out how many deaths the US’d have if’n our population was 445 million folk), we’d get: 212,000 * 1.35 = 286,200 deaths vs the EU’s 195,000.
Put another way, the US has almost 50% more deaths per million people than the EU does. To be Frank (actually, ah’m Ranty, not Frank), ah’d say given the overloaded ERs an ICUs we’all’ve seen at the peak COVID-19 infections earlier this year, ah’d guess our real number of deaths, if’n we has as many folk as the EU, would be much wurse.
So, we’ve dun got more deaths than the EU AN our rate is spiking while theirs is only now startin to go up in thar “second wave”. Heck, we’all’ve never really got outta our FURST WAVE!
Now, of course, since all them COVID-19 death counts aren’t goin directly to the CDC anymore, but are bein filtered through Pres Trump’s Health and Human Services (HHS) director, ah’m kinda figurin that them numbers is bein, uh, “adjusted” before the CDC sees em. So, ah figure them numbers are on the low side since, as Pres Trump has admitted in public, he likes to “downplay” the numbers. In other wurds, he makes em lower than they really are.
So, uh, in conclushun, ah’d like to “thank” Pres Trump for presiding over more deaths, in 8 months, than ANY US war wit the exception of the Civil War an WWII!
As President Eisenhower (Ike) said, when speaking bout the office of the President, “The buck stops here!” IMO, at least 1/2 of these deaths are PRES TRUMP’S responsibility because his policies have put Mericans in harm’s way just to try to get a bit of a bump in the stock market an to get re-elected.
Dang, fur that matter, Pres Trump dun be directly responsible fur more Merican deaths than any other Merican in history!
Shucks, in 2014, Pres Trump Tweeted that Pres Obama was “dumb” an “was a disgrace” an “should resign” over his handling of the Ebola outbreak har in the US. Under Pres Obama, the total number of Ebola cases was: 11. The total number of deaths was: 2. That thar means Pres Trump’s handlin of the COVID-19 pandemic har in the US is AT LEAST 100,000 TIMES WURSE! So far!
Well, Mr. President Trump, are y’all gonna be a hypocrite OR are y’all gonna RESIGN in DISGRACE as y’all said Pres Obama should?!?
Yeah, that thar’s whut ah thunk. Like always, y’all remain our Hypocrite in Chief. A President who takes NO RESPONSIBILITY fur his actions. Whut’s really sad is that a big buncha folk might forgive Pres Trump if’n he gave a sincere apology an admitted he handled things wrong. If’n he were HUMBLE. An THAT ain’t happenin!
Maybe even enough people fur him to get re-elected. But his durned EGO won’t let him tell “We, the People” the truth!
